Foundations of Professional Practice

This section of the website adheres to the foundations of professional practice as outlined by the Ontario College of Teachers.  Specifically, it focuses on meeting the four principals of ethical standards in order to uphold the honour of the teaching profession and promote public trust. (Foundations of Professional Practice, 2016)

This has been achieved in the following ways:

Care: The components of this section have been developed with the students’ best interest in mind.  The learning tools made available reflect my commitment to learning through positive influence, professional judgment and empathy in practice.

Conservation of Energy

Trust: The components of this section are of my own work unless otherwise stated.  It is my desire to put my best foot forward with this work so as to build professional relationships based on trust with students, colleagues, parents and the public.

Respect: This section has multiple resources to provide multiple entry points for all students, regardless of their background.  They were designed with fair-mindedness and allow each student to feel part of an inclusive classroom environment where everyone can participate.

Integrity: This section has been constructed with great effort to give credit to all contributors.  In an effort to be able to continually reflect and exercise integrity in the community, feedback is encouraged and can be achieved using the form below.
